Sedona Retreats: Spiritual & Healing Retreats, Private or Group

SpiritFlow Sedona offers private and group spiritual and healing retreats in Sedona, Arizona, from two to four days. Private retreats run $1,200 to $3,200 depending on length and season; group retreats start at $499. Every retreat is designed and personally led by Melina Fuhrmann, the only Brennan Healing Science practitioner in Sedona — never outsourced to contract practitioners.

What Makes a SpiritFlow Retreat Different
Most Sedona retreat companies assemble your retreat from a roster of contract practitioners you meet for the first time when they arrive. SpiritFlow works the opposite way. You work with the same person, Melina, from the first consultation through the final session.
- One practitioner, start to finish. Melina designs and personally leads every session. Nothing is outsourced.
- Credentials you can verify. Brennan Healing Science practitioner — the only one in Sedona. Reiki Master Teacher. MA, Johns Hopkins. MBA, INSEAD. Clients from more than 70 countries. Featured on CNN and Marriott Bonvoy's About the Journey.
- Permitted for the land itself. Fully permitted to operate on the Coconino National Forest through the Sedona Metaphysical Spiritual Association — which is why outdoor vortex work is a real part of the retreat, not an add-on tour.
What Kind of Retreat Are You Looking For?

Healing Retreats
For people arriving with something specific to work through: grief, burnout, chronic illness, the aftermath of a diagnosis, or a body that has been in survival mode too long. The emphasis falls on hands-on sessions — Brennan Healing Science, chakra balancing, Reiki and sound — with the outdoor time kept gentle and restorative. Guests managing chronic conditions most often want this weighting.

Spiritual Retreats
For people at a threshold rather than in a crisis. A decision, a transition, a sense that something needs to change without a clear name for it yet, a searching for life purpose and how to embrace your inner light. The emphasis shifts toward Spirit Mentoring & Energy Therapy, longer dialogue, meditation and intention work, with sessions spaced to leave room for what surfaces between them.

Nature & Vortex Retreats
For people who want Sedona itself to do part of the work. More time outdoors on Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock, breathwork and grounding on the land, sound sessions held outdoors on permitted Forest Service ground. The indoor sessions become integration for what happens outside rather than the other way around.
Which one is yours?
Most people arrive somewhere between two of these. You don't have to choose in advance — the weighting is decided in the pre-retreat consultation, after a conversation about what's actually going on. The format you do choose in advance is the practical one: alone, as a couple, with a group, or in a single day.

What Does a Day on Retreat Actually Look Like?
A long one. Retreat days at SpiritFlow run eight to ten hours. We begin at 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning and finish at 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening, and some evenings run later than that. When someone is in the middle of real work, I am not going to end the day because a clock says so.
That length is deliberate, and it will not suit everyone. This is not a spa day with a hike attached, and it is not a sampler. It is a working immersion, built for people who have decided they want to understand themselves and change something they have been carrying for a long time. If that is not where you are right now, Sedona has beautiful places that will serve you better. If it is, you will not find this pace demanding. You will find it is finally enough time.
What fills the hours
Six to eight distinct pieces a day, not one appointment in the morning and another in the afternoon. A single day might hold breathwork and a grounding experiential, a chakra reading and assessment in the Brennan Healing Science tradition, an energy-consciousness training session on the thoughts and emotions that run underneath your patterns, a two- to three-hour land journey with Reiki and Himalayan singing bowl sound healing, a one-to-one Spirit Mentoring and energy healing session, and unhurried time for meditation, introspection and journaling.
The order and the emphasis change for every guest. What does not change is that the day is full.
Where the day happens
Indoor sessions take place in the SpiritFlow sanctuary at The Collective Sedona, with Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte through the windows. Outdoor sessions take place on Coconino National Forest land under a Forest Service permit. Sessions are never held in a private home. If you stay in the casita, it is yours for sleeping and resting, not a treatment room.
Who you work with
I am. Start to finish, without exception.
I design your retreat around what you tell me before you arrive. I meet you on Zoom ahead of time. I hold the thread from the first morning to the last evening, and I lead the core work myself: the chakra reading and assessment, the energy-consciousness training, the Brennan Healing Science energy healing, the land journeys, the Spirit Mentoring.
For selected activities, a specialist supports the retreat. Group retreats include a yoga instructor, a chi-gong instructor, and sometimes another practitioner. Massage, including couples massage, can be built in. When someone wants work outside my own practice, I can point them to practitioners I trust here in Sedona.
Those specialists support the day. They do not divide it. Each one arrives knowing where your retreat has been and where it is going, because I brief them and I stay with the work. You are never handed between practitioners who have not spoken to each other, and there is never a question about who is accountable for your experience.

A sample two-day arc
Yours is reshaped around your energy, your pace and your intention during the pre-retreat consultation, so treat this as the shape of a day rather than a timetable.
Day one. Morning: fresh detox juice, then an introduction to energy consciousness, the chakras and the aura. Breathwork. A grounding experiential to release early trauma and rediscover an energized life force. A chakra reading and assessment. Midday: a vortex land journey with Reiki and Himalayan singing bowl sound healing. Afternoon: energy-consciousness training on emotions, thoughts and limiting beliefs. Into the evening: meditation, introspection and journaling.
Day two. Morning: a sound bath, fresh juice, and an energy experiential. An inner child release session. Bio-energetic exercises. Midday: a healing land journey with a releasing ceremony for forgiveness, guided breathwork meditation and singing bowl sound therapy. Afternoon: Brennan Healing Science energy healing. Into the evening: integration, and a plan for what you carry home.
Two days, three days, four days
With each day, more is possible. You cannot get the same out of two days that you can out of four. Two days will move something real. Three gives that movement somewhere to settle. Four lets us reach what the first two days uncover and still have time to work with it, which is why the longer retreats are where the deepest change happens.
If a full day is too much
Retreats can be customized. A two-day retreat can be held over four half-days, which suits guests managing chronic illness, limited energy or a family schedule. Ask on the inquiry form. It changes how the retreat is built, not whether you can come.
Before you arrive
You complete a retreat intake form and we meet on Zoom to talk through your background and set your intention. That is why the first morning opens with work rather than introductions.
Visits to Coconino National Forest are FULLY Permitted for Operation on the Coconino National Forest through the Sedona Metaphysical Spiritual Association.
Sample Schedules
Can You Accommodate Health Conditions, Mobility Limits or Dietary Needs?
Yes. SpiritFlow regularly hosts guests living with chronic illness, and retreats are designed around real limits rather than in spite of them. Accommodations include fragrance-free session spaces, low-histamine and allergy-aware food planning, pacing-friendly scheduling with genuine rest between sessions, and hike routes chosen for mobility rather than difficulty.
- Fragrance-free environment available on request for the sanctuary and all sessions
- Low-histamine, allergy-aware and dietary-restricted food planning for snacks and lunch guidance
- Pacing-friendly programming — sessions spaced with real recovery time, and a willingness to shorten or move anything on the day
- Mobility-adapted vortex time — routes and distances chosen for you, including seated and near-trailhead options
- Medical and emergency planning discussed before arrival, including anaphylaxis protocols where relevant
If you are navigating MCAS, POTS, fibromyalgia, long COVID, Lyme disease, ME/CFS, hEDS, or C-PTSD—or anything else that makes travel, movement, or rigid scheduling challenging—please let us know. We specialize in gentle, pacing-conscious support and adapt our session rhythm, lighting, and environment to meet your body's exact capacity. It changes how the retreat is built, not whether you can come.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are SpiritFlow Retreats for?
What's the difference between a healing retreat and a spiritual retreat?
Is lodging included?
How far in advance should I book?
Do I have to hike?
No. Outdoor vortex time is part of most retreats, but the route, distance and terrain are chosen around your mobility, and seated or near-trailhead options are always available. Some guests do the entire retreat indoors.
Can I customize a one-day retreat?
Yes. One-day and half-day retreats are regularly customized around exploring Sedona — combining a vortex hike, a healing session and time at the sites that matter most to you. Half-day intensives start at $444.
Who will I actually work with?
Melina Fuhrmann, every time. SpiritFlow does not outsource retreats to external or contract practitioners, which is unusual in Sedona — most retreat companies assemble your schedule from a roster of independent providers. At times, it does make sense to bring in external practitioners - a massage therapist, an astrologer, or a psychic medium.
What is Brennan Healing Science?
Brennan Healing Science is a four-year professionally trained energy healing modality developed at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, combining hands-on energy work with therapeutic dialogue. Melina is the only Brennan Healing Science practitioner in Sedona.

FAQ
Who are your Sedona healing retreats designed for?
SpiritFlow retreats are designed for people who want more than a single session and feel called to step out of everyday life for a few days of focused healing, reflection, and reconnection. They are ideal for those navigating transition, burnout, loss, or a deep desire to realign.
What is included in a typical SpiritFlow retreat (sessions, sound healing, hikes, etc.)?
Retreats typically weave together learning about the energy-consciousness system, chakras, and the Aura, energy work, sound healing, guided practices, and outdoor time on the
land. Exact components vary by retreat, but each is curated to provide a balanced flow of inner work, rest, and embodied experience.
What is the difference between a multi‐ day retreat and a weekend retreat?
Multi‐ day retreats provide more space to unfold—multiple sessions, time on the land, and integration moments over several days. Weekend retreats are shorter, focused immersions that fit more easily into busy schedules while still offering a meaningful reset.
Can retreats be customized for private individuals, couples, or small groups?
Yes. Many retreats can be customized for individuals, couples, or small groups. We discuss
what guests hope to explore, their timing, and practical needs, then design a structure and pace
that fit.
How do I choose between a retreat and booking individual sessions?
If a guest is seeking a deep reset or working through a significant life passage, a retreat often provides the continuity and containment they need. If they want specific support around a particular issue or prefer to start with one experience, individual sessions may be a better first step.
